SMEs are defined as companies with fewer than 250 employees. They can be divided into:

Microenterprises: fewer than 10 employees
Small businesses: 10 to 49 employees
Mid-sized companies 50 to 249 employees

They have one thing in common: They act responsibly over the long term. At the same time, the government often imposes too many restrictions on them with respect to tax, labour, and social security laws.
